40 Weeks and Counting

This is my clingy little miss who is going to have a breakdown when "baby brudder" comes along. She is a on my lap right now and often asks me to feed her. On her lap are her "scriptures" which she insists on reading every night. Its really an old missionary reference guide that she opens and apparently her "scriptures" say things like, "Go to Emma, Fisher's house." and "Shrek." and "Nice to meet you, I'm Blueberry Muffin." Oh boy. Speaking of boys....
I haven't found a crib set that I have to have, and I think I'll pass on the bumper this time. (Kyla's bumper is taking up a lot of room in storage, but the rest of the crib set I'm still using on her toddler bed.) The crib skirt was a must simply because the crib has a drawer and I would like to hide the contents. I spent last Saturday - all of last Saturday - making a crib skirt. We have yet to get the mattress, and I am excited to see what it will look like all together.

Here is a picture of the box pleat I put in. There are three box pleats on the front and one on each side.
The crib is currently at its highest level, so I'm counting on the skirt looking way better when the mattress is lowered so you can see it below the jail bars.
Oh, and guess what is finally hung?!

Really??!!

At church yesterday I heard the comment (secondhand mind you): "Is she sure there is only one baby in there? To this I say, "Really??!!"

Kyle made us cookies. He added only half the required flour. "Really??!!" Don't worry I forgive him. We fixed the second batch.

Just before church I find Kyla with a green marker. "Really??!!"

My sheets are somehow shredding to pieces. "Really??!!"

And finally, Happy Valentine's Day! "Really Kyla, Really??!!"

Almost There

For the record, I had no business having so much support at my baby shower! Thank you much to Marissa, Candice and Courtney for planning that for me. I was overwhelmed with all the people who came and the wonderful gifts for my little guy coming so soon! We will have one well dressed little guy, and I shouldn't be blogging, I should be writing Thank you's. I'll get to that...

Update on the valance: I have one now. Just needs to be hung.

The crib is up. No mattress yet. Letters cut out of paper hung on the wall. I'm almost fully committed to the name.

Dresser is assembled. Pile of washed clothing to pack for hospital. Our favorite pic ever from baby shower!

Glider, bouncer, and new lamp.

The man responsible for assembling it all. Not to mention love of my life.
